This statement is the moral of the Stoics. Still, it is difficult to completely agree with this. Life is valuable and so is freedom. But there can be no salvation without life. Therefore one should try to protect one’s freedom as far as possible. This does not mean that we should deliberately walk towards death. Seeing the wolf, Chandni was able to return to the hut. She could come to the hills the next morning. In reality, life is like walking on a razor’s edge. A person should maintain balance. To walk straight you sometimes have to bend to the left and sometimes to the right.
